In this week's episode of "Painting the Corners with Anton Schindler" we go over a handful of the 37 Hall of Famers that came from the Negro Leagues and talk about what made these players so important to the history of the league and the history of baseball. We'll talk about one of the most popular pitchers that ever came out of the Negro leagues and a prolific hitter by the name of Josh Gibson who threatened Barry Bond's Home Run Record.

To Celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier in the MLB, this week's episode of "Painting the Corners with Anton Schindler" is dedicated to the history of the Negro Leagues and the 3,400 athletes that played in the leagues during its long history. We'll go over a brief history of the league and talk about some events that lead up to Jackie Robinson and Larry Doby breaking the color barrier once and for all, paving a path for athletes of color to compete in the sport they love in the Major League. 

On this week's episode of "Painting the Corners with Anton Schindler," we'll start off by talking about the opening week of the 2022 MLB Regular Season, shortly before talking about the best father-son combos in the history of the MLB. We've seen a lot of family talent in the 255 times a father and son have both  played in the MLB, the best of whom we highlight in this episode. 

On this week's episode of "Painting the Corners with Anton Schindler," we'll do a quick rundown of the 2022 MLB regular season by making some predictions on how the season is going to pan out by the time we reach playoffs in October. We'll talk about some milestones that are soon to be broken and some records to look out for, and we'll highlight a couple of players that you should look out for during the season. Back in 1919, a statistician by the name of Hugh Fullerton noticed something suspicious was happening with some of the players on the White Sox. They were trying to rig the 1919 World Series in return of a big pay day. In this episode of "Painting the Corners with Anton Schindler," we'll talk about the story behind the 1919 World Series, and we'll talk about the outcome and eventual banning of the "Black Sox" from Major League Baseball. 

The 1986 San Jose Bees were a one-off team like no other. It was a team built of washed-up major leaguers, phenoms who were down on their luck, international players who barely spoke English and young players looking to make their way to the big leagues. They had a general manager who was just 26 years old and bad attitudes making them a bit of a laughing stock in the professional baseball world. This is the story of "The Bad News Bees." 

Did you know that since 1912, there have been 67 athletes that have played at least one game of baseball at the MLB level and one game of football at the NFL level during their careers? In this week's episode of "Painting the Corners," we're going to talk about these incredible athletes, like Deion Sanders and Bo Jackson, who managed to play two very different sports at a professional level at the same time in their career. We also talk about a couple of other incredible athletes who decided to take take their talents elsewhere after being drafted into the MLB. 

On this week's episode, we cover the most recent MLB Lockout news, including the unfortunate cancellation of Opening Day of 2022. Then, we jump into the best players of all time from each team in the American League West, starting with the Seattle Mariners, the Oakland Athletics, The Los Angeles Angels, The Texas Rangers and The Houston Astros. 

In this week's episode of "Painting the Corners with Anton Schindler," we talk about the current state of the MLB lockout, the deadline for the player's union and how the league has to make a new agreement before regular season games start in order prevent cancellation. We then go into finding the best players to ever play for each team in the American League Central division, which has four of the oldest teams in the MLB.
