In this episode, Grant McHerron talks with Mike Kerrigan, Head of Defence, Australia, with Palantir Technologies, about assessing Force Readiness with Palantir's Vantage system.

We start our discussion by getting a brief history of Palantir’s formation, Mark’s background in the Army and his current role with Palantir. Mike gives us an overview of force readiness and its role in ensuring a military has members trained and equipped to deploy at notice. We get an insight into how Vantage utilises AI to assist in making informed decisions by assessing readiness across logistics, personnel, financial, equipment and risk information gathered from databases and unstructured data sources. He also discusses options for its installation, and how it scales for all layers of organisational structure. The discussion also explores how Vantage has integrated with Defence IT with considerations for segmented classified environments.

We wrap up with a use case of how Vantage can be used to track the real time progress of government directives with live data and how it reduces the manual effort required to assemble information from diverse sources.
