Palm Sunday: Following the King into Jerusalem [Matthew 21:1-11] | 04.02.23 Weekend Message

Listen Later

This Sunday is Palm Sunday. It is the day that Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey a week before his death and resurrection. As he made his way into Jerusalem, many people followed.

Jesus had his followers. 12 disciples are listed by name. Matthew shares accounts where Jesus preached to crowds in excess of 4,000 and 5,000 men plus women and children. He was popular.

But when Jesus died on Calvary on God Friday, he was all alone. He had to go alone, because he alone could make the payment for all sin, for all people, for all time.

This message wraps up our message series entitled, "The Kingdom". We have talked about the Kingdom for the last number of weeks, on Palm Sunday we will talk about the King; and see why Jesus is exactly the type of King you want to follow.
