Palm Sunday: Jesus Comes to Jerusalem as King (Luke 19:28-44) | 03.24.24 Weekend Message

Listen Later

There is a striking scene in Luke 19. Jesus is standing on a hill overlooking the city of Jerusalem and he starts to cry.

He says, "“If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace—but now it is hidden from your eyes." Luke 19:42, NIV
We can all relate to having bad days, maybe even days that we have shed a few tears. We would like some peace. We want the pain to stop. We want a break.
But we just don't see any relief in our future.
This week at CrossWalk Church in Phoenix we will walk with Jesus as he takes his last trip to the city of Jerusalem.
The last week of Jesus' life begins on a Sunday, sometimes called Palm Sunday. It is the start of Holy Week which is the climax of the life and ministry of Jesus.
The reason Jesus was crying is that he came to bring lasting peace that everyone can enjoy, but so few people do. It is a peace that he wants you to have as well.
Let Jesus dry your tears and experience the lasting joy that only he can bring.
