Sometime after his resurrection on Easter, Jesus appeared to the disciples out by the Sea of Galilee... and he fixed them breakfast. What he chose to talk with Peter about would change the course of Peter's life. And it all started with the question, "Do you love me?"

Jesus and his disciples were in Caesarea Philippi (notorious for their temple to the Greek god Pan), when he asked them a pointed question: "Who do you say that I am?" Peter's response was on the mark, and Jesus used their location as a prime teaching moment! Matthew 16:13-20 is our text.

We all have fears. Some not so big. Others huge! We can also relate to the disciples who were caught in the midst of a great storm out on the Sea of Galilee. We hear Jesus' question, "Why are you afraid?" and wonder how he could possibly ask it? Could it be the presence of Christ in our lives is enough to drive out our fears? Mark 4:35-41 is our text.

A blind man called out to Jesus for help. Jesus asked him a seemingly rhetorical question, "What do you want me to do for you?" His answer (and subsequent actions) inspires us to respond to that same question ourselves. Are we "making God famous" with our lives? Luke 18:35-43 is our text.

It started as a simple getaway for Jesus and his disciples. It ended up being an opportunity to not only feed 5k people, but also cement an important lesson in the hearts and minds of his followers. "What do you have?" is a question that Jesus asks ALL of us to answer! Mark 6:30-44 is our text.

We begin a new series for lent, looking at GREAT QUESTIONS JESUS ASKED. We start off with the question he asked his earliest followers in John's Gospel: "What are you looking for?" We'll discover this is a question that we also must answer today. John 1:29-42 is our text.

Everybody loves "mountaintop experiences!" Peter, James & John's mountaintop moment witnessed Jesus' "secret identity." But then they had to come down... so do we! Do we still see Jesus at his best.

We have a problem with wrath (anger taken to extremes). When we're hurt, we hurt back. But that wasn't Jesus' way. He calls us to be peace-makers, not retaliators. We finish our series on the 7 Deadly Sins by looking at this critical issue. Romans 12:9-21 is our text.
