We have a heritage of being stiff-necked and resisting the Holy Spirit.  We do not have to be great.  We just need to keep our ears opened to God and follow His lead.  

The flood is kinda sad because everyone who was not in the ark died.  But God did something good with the flood.  He cleansed the earth from the sin that was in it.  And he can make our hearts clean.  

We know a lot of things. There is one kind of knowledge that gives the right focus to the rest of our knowledge. We need the personal knowledge of the work of God in our lives!

There will always be people in the church who don't see things the same way we do.  As we seek to move forward as a church let's be intentional to look backward to remember our common ground.  

What good thing do you need to stop doing? What good things do you need to start doing?

When you think of the story of the flood do you ever think that God is mean? The story of Noah actually shows us some really awesome things about God. Like that He is powerful. And that He makes agreements with us. And that He cares about us and provides a way for us to be saved.

We can spend our spiritual energies opposing God. Some good indicator that we are opposing God are when our energies for Him are unloving to others and when we see the fruits of the Spirit in the things we are opposing.
