The Senate Committee on Indian Affairs holds an oversight hearing on Legislation to Resolve Cobell v. Norton.
The Cobell lawsuit was filed by the late Elouise Cobell, of the Blackfeet Nation, to hold the U.S. government accountable for the billions of dollars held in trust for individual Indian landowners.
The hearing took place on July 26, 2005, during the 109th Congress.
