Chris has been one of my best friends and was a motivating force behind me stating this very podcast. We sat down on a cold night next to a fire in my backyard and talked about everything from customer service to the bright future of Amarillo. Enjoy!

I have been friends with Brandon Long for the past 10 years. Conversation has always been easy between us so it is no surprise that this podcast zigs and zags from old church relationships to the podcasts that appeal to us and why. La Bella Pizza, which Brandon owns, is donating the pizza for the upcoming Panhandle Podcast Meet Up March 24 at the Amarillo Art Institute. For more information on the event visit Amarillo Art Institute event . Or If you get hungry in the Canyon/Amarillo area visit Brandon Long at La Bella Pizza.

Gunner Widowski is a freelance photographer living and operating out of Amarillo, Tx. I first came across Gunner when he moved in down the street from my house. Around the same time that he moved into my neighborhood, his pictures started to creep into my instagram feed. In this interview, we cover how he got into photography, what makes Amarillo unique, and how intention can change a culture. I am hoping that this is the first of many appearances on the podcast.

Rachel is the Executive Director of the Amarillo Art Institute which offers the community a regular schedule of art classes of multiple mediums, as well as work shops and special events. In this interview, I spoke with Rachel about her role at AAI, how AAI helps individuals and the community, and its place within the larger context of Sunset Center galleries. I am also excited to announce that in March, AAI will be the location of my first live podcast. If you would like more information about future events or participating in classes you can visit http://amarilloartinstitute.org or visit Sunset Center the first Friday of every month at 3701 Plains blvd.

Is social media a telescope, why rap music is the best, focusing on what you don't want your life to be, this and much more on this week's ramble. Listeners beware this one gets a bit out there.
Featured music this week by Mick Jenkins, Glass Animals, and The Arcade Fire.
Hayden Pedigo is a Amarillo local who has been making some waves in the music scene since he was in high school. His most recent album Greetings from Amarillo is on Spotify and available on iTunes. We talked about everything from musical influences, creating landscapes with sound, and the deeper side of nickelodeon. I really enjoyed sitting down with Hayden and look forward to seeing what he does in the future, he has a bright future ahead of himself for sure.

Panhandle Primate
A podcast lit like a campfire in the dark — signal-fires for anyone questioning the systems we've been told to trust. Host Dexter Cearley, an 18-year firefighter/paramedic turned homesteader in rural Texas, digs into hidden history, conspiracy, media control, and off-grid living, with conversations that go wherever the truth leads. Part homestead, part underground broadcast, always honest. If you're tired of the noise and looking for context, pull up a seat at the fire.
