We explored the essence of reconciliation and how being reconciled back to God for our intended purpose is a form of preservation. This is because outside of God, we are doomed to destruction: “who gave himself for our sins to deliver us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,” Galatians 1:4 ESV
The way that God does this is through us, who are in Jesus. God chooses to bring all things to Himself through Jesus who is in God: “When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. He said to his disciples, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few.” Matthew 9:36-37 NLT
Compassion moved Jesus and we should be the same. As workers, we need not be more burdened to be used by God than to we are to meet the needs of the people He is using us for, because the people are God’s main concern.
