A new report conducted by Asian Australian Alliance and think tank Per Capita documented over 400 cases of racism against Asian Australians from April to June, unveiling the dark side of the COVID-19 pandemic and puts into question: Is Australia as proudly multicultural as we claim?

A media release from the Murdoch Institute outlined positive results of medicinal cannabidiol's effect on children with severe behavioural problems. This was a pilot study meaning a further study with a larger sample size will take place this year. If successful, this type of medicine could become common place for kids with behavioural issues such as self-harming and screaming in public.

New research suggests the Victorian Government “wasted” the opportunity to house its homeless population, after selling off nearly 600 hectares of public land between 2000 and 2018. The RMIT Centre for Urban Research says the sold land could have been used to build up to 11 thousand units for public housing. With the COVID-19 Pandemic continuing, the state government has housed homeless people in hotels, but PhD researcher Liam Davies says short-term solutions are part of the problem.
