The Rewind Episode 245 — A New Era Begins

After 90 episodes, The Rewind is changing.

We're pulling back the curtain this week to talk about the future of the show and why we've decided to pause The Rewind as a Pantheon-focused podcast and expand into the wider world of MMORPGs.

That does not mean we're done with Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen. We still love the game, want it to succeed, and will continue covering the news and developments that matter. But with our frustration growing on the PTR and the major updates we've been waiting for still unfinished, we think it's time for The Rewind to evolve.

Welcome to the MMORPG Era of The Rewind.

We talk about what that change means for the show, reveal the new Static Group Live weekly schedule, and look ahead to our next major adventure: Monsters & Memories Early Access.

M&M launches October 1, and we're planning to hit it hard. We break down what excites us about its old-school tab-target combat, six-person groups, huge launch world and development team—as well as some concerns about the subscription, permanent Early Access characters and whether everything will be ready for launch.

Then we debut a brand-new Rewind segment:

The Rewind Episode 243 — Enchanter Mastery Part 1: Mentalist

We're back! This week Dymlos takes center stage as we begin our two-part deep dive into Enchanter Mastery in Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen.

Part 1 is all about the Mentalist.

We work our way through the Mentalist Mastery path, discussing its Mez-focused abilities, strengths, weaknesses, and some of the choices Visionary Realms is asking Enchanter players to make.

The bigger question: Should an Enchanter really have to choose between Mez and Charm?

Pantheon's Enchanter draws inspiration from one of the most powerful and versatile support-class archetypes in old-school MMORPGs. With Mastery separating some of those defining abilities between Mentalist and Coercer, we discuss whether that creates meaningful specialization—or leaves each side feeling like half of an Enchanter.
