As we start our new series on the parables teachings of Jesus, we come to Matthew 13 where Jesus tells the parable about parables. Rather than trying to figure out what these parables mean for us, we should be asking how they point to Jesus and his Kingdom.

The parable of the sower draws us into the nature of God's kingdom. It shows us that it is a kingdom of receptivity. An invitational kingdom that we get to draw deeper into Jesus.
