Pastor opens this teaching with a general outline of the entire Gospel of Matthew. The are five larger teachings within Matthew. The dual principle of those that have, to them more will be given, and to those who don't have, it will be taken away is discussed. This is a key principle of Jesus' teaching in parables. Given-ness is a key here in Matthew 13:11-17. God's judgment begins with the House of Go, then because of their rejection, the Gospel goes out to the Gentiles. How God dispenses His grace is His business. We must stay out of the position of defending God. Theodicy is the act of defending God. When we do this, we have conceded too much.
