The Green Mtn. Teen Institutes, or GMTI, were a series of week long workshops for high school students that were held in Vermont from the mid 1980s through the 1990s. The model was based in Primary Prevention, and included a variety of leadership skill building opportunities, and community. We’ll hear from alumni of GMTI about what it meant to them, and how their lives were effected.

Cheri Sicard is the author of Mary Jane The Complete Marijuana Handbook for Women. Cheri is a Cannabis and Prison Reform Activist. There are hundreds of people serving life sentences for nonviolent cannabis crimes in the US. Many of them are now in their 60’s and 70’s. Cheri also works with the Can-Do Foundation.
