J.D. Candidate, Tiana Boardman, started her legal journey at Prince George’s Community College in Largo, Maryland majoring in criminal justice. After graduation, she transferred to the University of Maryland, College Park to complete her Bachelor’s, also in criminal justice. She is currently a 3rd year evening student at the University of Baltimore School of Law. Tiana started working as a legal secretary at Hansel Law, P.C. while attending school at Prince George’s Community College and has worked her way up to Paralegal. After graduation, she will remain at the firm as an associate attorney. She has a passion for civil rights, particularly police and correctional misconduct cases and has testified before the Maryland House and Senate several times in support of sweeping police reform.
Tiana is also a new business owner. During her first year of law school, she started making whipped shea butter as a form of self-care. Creating products by hand gives her a sense of calm and relaxation while also producing something so incredibly beneficial to our skin. She expanded into making lotions, shower steamers, and crystal jewelry. All products are hand made to order with six ingredients or less.
