I realize that I had viewed Maggy's childhood through my own lens which didn't allow for acknowledgement and acceptance of her lived experience.  It didn't allow for truly "seeing" her as her own person.  We continue working with the Behavioral Health System and were horrified to realize Maggy had no rights.
