I realize that I had viewed Maggy's childhood through my own lens which didn't allow for acknowledgement and acceptance of her lived experience.  It didn't allow for truly "seeing" her as her own person.  We continue working with the Behavioral Health System and were horrified to realize Maggy had no rights.

I try to keep my promise to Maggy of not taking her to the hospital as we endure many days of trying to keep her safe and seeking Shamanic healing.

I realize the impact of negative beliefs in my life as well as the power and importance of doing my own work and Maggy pulls herself out of a suicidal state once she learned it was her choice and her choice alone.
