Join Riley as she explores a few different theories regarding what may have happened to Whitley Strieber on December 26th, 1985. Was he really taken by otherworldly beings? Or could there be other interesting explanations?

In 1990, Spanish teenager Estefania Gutierrez Lazaro experienced paranormal events that some say led to her mysterious death in 1991. After conducting a seance at school, Estefania claimed she was being haunted by dark, shadowy figures who would call out to her day and night. She also experienced visions, seizures, insomnia, and other puzzling behavior that doctors and psychologists could not seem to fix.

What's more, the poltergeist activity continued after her death. Her family home in Vallecas, Madrid was haunted by black hooded figures and phantom voices. Her mother, father, and six siblings were tormented so severely, that they eventually called police.

As outlandish as the story sounds, Chief Inspector Jose Negri and 5 other police officers claimed to have witnessed paranormal activity at the family home.

Was it hysteria? A poltergeist? A psychological phenomenon? Or was it something more sinister? Perhaps, even, supernatural?

There’s something about driving down an empty highway at night that seems to tug at our deepest fears - even to the point of paranoia. There’s something about the backroads. . .the dark country highways. . .that offers a unique kind of spookiness. 

And there are perhaps few people in the world who are as well acquainted with these midnight roads as our nation’s truck drivers. 

With so many hours driving during the darkest hours of night. . . you can say truck drivers have seen their fair share of weirdness on the road. And some even say they’ve seen UFOs, ghosts, and other creatures that should only exist in horror movies. 

And these stories - delivered to us from busy interstates, country backwoods, and desert highways - will be the subject of today’s episode.
