Dale discusses the word Mare in relation to nightmares which is German for pressing down. He discusses other cultures like Japan. Talks about an NL legend in Conception Bay, Brigus, Bay Roberts area about a phantom drummer under a window to indicate someone is going to pass. similar to an Irish legend. He talks about Pipers Hole in Swift Current playing Pipes similar to a Scottish legend. Dale discusses Fairy, fae, pixie stories in relation to Ireland and England. Dale talks about horses and braiding or putting knots in the horses hair. Mikmaq indigenous also talks about fairies doing the same thing. We talk about Conception Bay, and Shell Bird Island face in the rocks-Pirate Folklore and ghosts, and treasures hidden with headless pirates. to protect the booty. I ask about the Military History related to world war I and II with soldiers seen in uniforms the same day they passed away abroad. He discusses merchant marine ghost appearances with water. The culture back then for suicides was to bury the body with an wooden stake in them to keep their Spirit grounded, with Vampire ties to the tradition. The city workers back then according to newspapers reburied the man there at the center of the Crossroads. Katie describes bark tanning with animal material.
