This week's Torah reading starts with Moshe's request to see and enter the Land of Israel. God rejected the request. However, from the way it as asked we can learn about our own prayers.Based on Likkutey Sichot, vol. 24, p. 28

This week's Torah reading has many fundamentals of Judaism, like the ten commandments and Shema Israel. There's one verse that explains a quality of the voice of G-d on the giving of the Torah with many explanations.

In this week's reading we find, among many other Mitzvoth (commandments) the learning of Torah and the reciting of the Shema. A question on the set times for fulfilling these Mitzvoth will help us understand the purpose of each one of them.
