A recent article in the Wall Street Journal, conveyed how women are leaving the tiger mom philosophy for the beta mom niche. A trend that seems to be built more on feelings and the idea of - if my Mom would have just done better & tried to get to know me - than I would be better today?

Leading us right back to a person's 21T (Life Is Easy) and the memories that impact on our parental guidance "style" or lack there of.

The real question, however, is the Mom in the article implementing her policy on behalf of her children or is she trying to recreate a feeling she feels she missed when growing up? Which makes one think - what goes around comes around. Or, is it, do we all try to get our own way in the end?
