How should I talk with my kids about gender identity? social media use? death? sex? racial justice? This week we kick off a new series called "Confusing Conversations" - we'll look at these difficult conversations and unpack some ways to approach each of them in wisdom.
Before we can do any of that we have to identify a few key ideas...namely...where do we get this wisdom from? Our world, our friends, our family, and even us as individuals all have opinions on how to approach these conversations with our kids. BUT, Scripture teaches that true wisdom comes from God. And if we want true wisdom, we have to seek Him through His Word.

Parents who follow Jesus want to see their kids follow Jesus. However it's all too easy for good behavior to be the "mark" of a life changed for Christ. Binsey sits down with us, shares her parenting (and grandparenting!) experience, and talks about how the true mark of the Christian walk isn't good behavior, but a changed heart for Christ...and a few things parents can do to encourage this change!

Our culture tells us to follow our feelings. The Bible tells us to follow Jesus. So how do we follow Jesus when we don't FEEL like following Him? This week, Josh and Matt conclude our series on the Fruits of the Spirit by talking through Self-Control, and what it means to make choices that go against everything you might feel or think.

When the Bible talks about the Fruit of the Spirit of gentleness, the heart of it is humility. A gentle, humble spirit is something we want to see in our kids...but to see it in them we need to live it out in front of them. This week, Josh and Matt sit down to talk about the power of a gentle spirit and why it's so important to say "I'm Sorry" to your kids.

Do you struggle being patient with your kid(s)? If so, you're not alone! In fact, most parents say that to one degree or another, being patient with their kids is a struggle. This week we sat down with our friends Jordan and Veenita to discuss their journey with patience (and often the lack thereof) and how Jesus meets us in the middle of it all.
