Matt has 20 years of leadership experience within operations and HR in FTSE 100, family owned, start-up and charity, across multiple industries. His work in HR has always been powered by the fields of Organisation Development and Design, considering the full system, behavioural science, and ways to enhance capacity and capability of organisations.
His belief that including, connecting, and engaging every voice delivers better outcomes has contributed to multiple successful large and small change projects, with positive effect on the enterprise and the heart-count within.
Matt is an experienced facilitator, always seeking out new ways to encourage dialogue, embrace conflict, and unleash ideas from groups of people. As a LEGO® fan he naturally upskilled in the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methodology that plays a part in enabling this too!
Matt is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD and Treasurer of his local CIPD branch. He holds an MBA from the University of Leicester, UK and is a Fellow of the Instutute of Consulting (part of CMI). Matt is also Member of the International Association of Facilitators. He volunteers as an Enterprise Advisor, partnering with local schools to further their career offerings, as well as Board member and Chair of Trustees for a charity in the Northeast of England supporting young people.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with family at his caravan in the Scottish Borders, walking, kayaking, and watching the night sky.
