Everything I needed to know about the menopause………..no-one told me. This week's compilation is where we hear the lowdown straight from women – their voices, experiences and truths – on what is still a taboo subject. Menopause is a big part of women's lives, hair loss, insomnia, skin thinning, night sweats, hopelessness, vaginal dryness, hot flashes, hot flushes, libido drop, rage, brain fog, irritability, anxiety, joint pain, weight gain and many more. So many women feel isolated, suffering in silence, shamed in a youth centric culture, feeling as if their power as women is diminishing. This is accompanied by very physical challenges and mental health dips. It's a time of immense growth, IF women can steady themselves. This is why these conversations are vital. In two weeks I will be talking to Meg Mathews an expert on menopause (and Noel Gallagher's ex-wife), asking all the questions we have about menopause. Oh, there are so many questions! A big thank you to all of our contributors (in order of appearance): ...
Anonymous, 53, mother of two
Amanda - 44 yr old Mom of 2 boys -8 & 11. "I had breast cancer at age 40. Kicked it! Learning to live gracefully and easily with my "new" body and my fears, and desiring to learn my life lessons without any more drama!"
Meryl Lynn Ranzer Human, Artist, Activator, Big mouth, Teacher, Media Manager-New Sanctuary Coalition NYC, Mom
Sarah, a 55 year old mother, step mother, business owner and meno-matriarch from Birmingham
Joan, a writer and photographer, lives in New York City with her husband
Peggy Starnes Entrepreneur, making and selling renaissance clothing. Mom of 4. 54 years old and in the process of menopause right now.
Claire, a resilient mother of 2 girls, UK.
Kimberly - also known as @nakedyogagoddess on Instagram and The Pleasured Mom @safelovefree on Facebook

Putting yourself FIRST does not make you selfish. Meredith Masony, of That's Inappropriate and That's Inappropriate Parents, joins me as we challenge the stigma and judgements of motherhood and emphasise the importance of talking about the struggles inherent to being a mother. We explore how Meredith puts herself first and how a near-death experience led to her pursuing her own career goals rather than settling for second best. You don't have to be perfect - you just have to show up as YOU.

"My Father Taught Me…" How would YOU finish this sentence? It's coming up to Father's Day here in the UK and so we thought we'd include a special episode called ON FATHERS to sit alongside our recent hotly listened to MOTHER'S DAY Special. We're celebrating fathers: for their love and support, their jokes, their smiles, and most of all their lessons. I know of many different father stories from people from all walks of life. I know fathers who are heroes and fathers who have pulled disappearing acts. I also know that many of the lessons we learned from our fathers stay with us for life, whether these lessons are positive, neutral or negative. We've invited a select group of women from across the world to contribute to a compilation-style episode sharing their thoughts on what their fathers taught them. These honest shares unearth the complex relations between fathers and children.
A big THANK YOU to (in order of appearance):
Sine Gyrup, mother of a daughter and living in Geneva.
Chloe O'Sullivan is the founder of War to Peace®, a conflict resolution methodology she devised over a decade ago and has shared with over 4,000 people globally. She is also a wife to Richard, and mother to Safi, their wonderful daughter whom they adopted four years ago. She is an avid-globetrotter, singer and a fan of comedy ~AKA tragedy plus time!
Nicki Auret ~ city professional, school mum, trusted adviser and best friend
Erin, A level student & Feminist
Ninna Amora from New York City and Creator of Live Embodied
Karen Roswell - professional photographer, living a gluten free life; wife and mother based in the UK.

What keeps us going through dark times? I'm joined by Joy Foster to discuss her relationship with faith and GOD. We all have faith, whether that's in GOD, people, ourselves, or something completely different. We explore where this faith comes from and how it can guide us when everything seems hopeless. This is a topic which is surprisingly close to home for me as I had a deeply religious upbringing (and yes I was educated at a convent with nuns in wimples!).
Our conversation heads to some dark places as we discuss Joy's father's suicide and history of mental health issues in her family. Joy provides invaluable insight into how to get through profound personal tragedy. Unsurprisingly, this is a highly emotional conversation, so you might want to have tissues close at hand.
TRIGGER WARNING - Suicide
