  • You broke us, You broke me
Hola! Welcome to Episode 2 of Paris in NYC! February 17 was my one year Breakaversary! It’s been exactly one year since I broke up with my ex. In episode 2 of season 1, I walked you through the beginning of my healing journey, and for the last 6 months, I never even thought of him. However, the few weeks leading to our “Breakaversary,” he had been constantly on my mind, so I did what most Dominicans do and I went to see a “psychic” and had my cards read. The first card she pulled said that I was still chained to my past, she suggested that I write an honest letter to my ex and burn it afterwards in order to release the ties that I still had to him. So I did, but I decided to share what I wrote because that’s what makes this podcast so great, the fact that I’m so willing to be as honest as possible in hopes that others realize that they aren’t alone in what they are going through. After I recorded this podcast, I burned the letter, and since then, he hasn’t been much of a thought. Sometimes, you do need closure, and you have to do that in whatever way is best for you.

Hola! Welcome to episode 12 of Paris in NYC! This episode was really hard for me to record, I was really sick and had lost my voice and kept messing up and having to re record every 30 seconds. I was also just very emotional because the person I spoke about in this episode was someone that was very dear to me, and I wished that I would have realized that while I still had time to dedicate more time to speaking with him while he was alive. I made the mistake of feeling the comfort of thinking that he would always be around and we would grow old together and talk often about our lives. But comfort is something that I learned is not promised. He was so important to me and I didn’t even know it. His death put a lot of things into perspective for me and it triggered a lot of changes in my life. I recorded this two weeks ago and could not get around to writing a summary for it and therefore was holding off on releasing it, but here it is, and this is from the heart, because everything else I speak about on the podcast is honest, raw, and true to myself. Thank you for watching over me, I miss you and love you dearly.

  • It starts with YOU

Hola! Welcome to episode 11 of Paris in NYC! In this episode I am accompanied by Jose Cruz (Ig: @_therealmozo), an advocate for mental health and the neighborhood love dealer from Brooklyn, NY. In this episode, Jose shares insights, personal stories, motivation, and highlights the importance of mental health for everyone, but especially for men.

Mental health awareness is not something that is as widespread as it should be. It is crucial as it dismantles stigma, fosters empathy, and encourages open conversations about mental well-being. By increasing awareness, society becomes more informed about the prevalence of mental health issues, leading to better understanding, support, and resources for those affected. It’s important to have a support group, and surround yourself with people that love you. Listen to the episode now!

  • Starry Night
Hola! When I first started my podcast, someone told me that people hardly make it to episode 10. Well, I guess I can now say that I have an established podcast since this is my 10th episode!!! I also just turned 39 years old on November 5th! In this episode I open up about the emotions that had overwhelmed me and sent me down a spiral of sadness and tears the weeks leading up to my birthday. I had decided to escape for a bit and went back to my motherland, the Dominican Republic for the first time in 17 years. I knew what I expected going on this trip, to have many drunken nights by the pool with my friends. But I did not expect the revelation that I would have on one Starry Night. Listen and find out what it was.

  • Cat Calling

Hola! Welcome to episode 7 of Paris in NYC! In this episode I talk about the harassment that women go through from as early as their teenage years and have to learn to live with as it follows them through different stages of their growth. I also talk about an experience I had in which I ended up finding myself in a "body rub" place where I got to get details of the experience these girls have that work at these businesses. The Me Too movement was something that ended too soon, and I encourage my listeners and every women to find ways to speak up and use their voice because one voice goes unheard, but in unity we stand strong. Let's help make a better future for our children.

Listen as they share some stories that will leave you with your mouth open, as well as make you take back any thoughts you might have had of dating being easier in the LGBTQ community. We also touch base on some very hard, but honest truths that members of the community must face on a daily basis even in a liberal state like NY.
