Jesus begins his sermon by inviting his listeners to the true life of blessing. But what he calls them to sounds like the opposite of the good life. But Jesus’s way of life is different. The way of the kingdom is different than what they and we might expect, but if we were to receive Jesus's invitation, we could truly live the good life no matter what circumstances come our way and truly flourish the way we were intended.
