In Luke 18v9-17, Deacon Herbert Lin teaches how our relationship with God requires a posture of humility, similar to the tax collector in the passage and unlike the Pharisee who sought to justify himself before others. This tension resolves in acknowledging our inability while trusting in God's complete sufficiency, just as Jesus affirms when he declares the kingdom belongs to those who receive it like a little child.

What does persistent prayer look like? In Luke 18v1-8, Jesus shares a parable about a persistent widow and an unjust judge.
