    Smuggler's Notch in Jeffersonville, Vermont is quickly becoming one of the most anticipated stops on the pro tour. The Green Mountain Championship brings some of the most scenic views in the country, a music festival, and oh yeah, disc golf! 4 rounds doesn't seem like nearly enough when course records are being thrown. It's about this time on the tour when all the hard work, dedication, and stamina begin to kick in. With only a few events left on the calendar, we hope to continue to see new names atop the leaderboard!


    Justin officially has the tournament bug as he played 2 weekends in a row! Mitch and Hayden debrief with him on his preparation, progress round to round, and what there is to take away from a tough but strengthening event. Being able to improve by 6 strokes in his final round, Justin is definitely trending in the right direction as he begins his amateur disc golf career!


    We've seen match play at the Ryder's Cup, but what does it look like in disc golf? This week, the first ever DGPT Match Play Championship takes place at the gorgeous Steel Club in Pennsylvania. This event sets the tone for many ideas and future tournaments in our sport! Watch it live on the Disc Golf Network this weekend.

    Ah yes, Iron Hill. Home of the Delaware Disc Golf Challenge where more trees are hit than any other course on the tour. Also now the home to a first time National Tour winner on his first year on the road!

    Later, Hayden and Mitch reluctantly relive the mean rollercoaster of Hotlanta. They deep dive into how their hotel’s water broke, what went wrong in their play, and what they learned heading into an autumn full of tournaments. 

    Building the Bag continues with Part 4: Fairway drivers. What do you look for in a fairway? Justin seeks out comfort above all else, Mitch tries to find consistency hyzer-flipping every stability, and Hayden needs as much stability as his body can physically handle.

Going into this week the guys had their favorites but were pleasantly surprised to see another first time champion. Mitch, Hayden, & Justin discuss how the tour could change to have more variation in course type week after week, McBeth's disastrous final round, and how the upcoming young guns of the sport are pushing the limits. 
    Ah, midranges... the good ol' trusty discs that never change and sometimes never get thrown. Are approach discs midranges? What shape of flight, plastic, and feel do we search for in this class of disc? Mitch throws them too much, Hayden is too smooth with them but forgets they exist, and Justin relives his exploding shark incident.
