Sometimes life can seem hopeless. Maybe you went this past year with heartache, disappoint, or betrayal. But God sent His only son, Jesus, to bring us the hope we all long for.

Life at times can feel lonely and we can especially feel it when Christmas comes around. But our darkest hours never stops God from doing His greatest work.

Hark! The Herald Angels sing is a beautiful carol of how Jesus was born. Jesus came to earth as a helpless baby and born in a messy manger to an ordinary couple to be the Savior of the world.

This time of year can feel especially lonely. Maybe you lost someone and now have an empty seat at the table. Maybe you're facing an addiction and it turned people away. No matter what, remember Emmanuel- God with us.

Our faith in Jesus gives us a new life and a new story to live. Grace allows us to let go of our past, to forgive, and live our lives with joy. Grace changes everything.

Sometimes we view God as someone who dangles our past sins in front of our faces. Sometimes we view God as someone who would never accept us because our past sins were so bad. Jesus died on a cross because nothing can separate us from His love. Grace is greater than your past.

Forgiveness is something that doesn't come easy. In fact, sometimes it seems impossible. The Gospel is all about forgiveness. If Jesus can forgive those who nailed him on a wooden cross, we should forgive those who wronged us. Grace is always greater than pain.

Sometimes we feel like a failure when we don't measure up. Fear creeps in and we don't use our special gifts that God has given us because we want to be perfect. God loves us, accepts us, and values us more than we can ever know. Put fear aside and start doing what God has called you to do.

Having money and material possessions is not a bad thing. In fact, God wants us to enjoy those things. But when we start to want more and more and forget about the blessings, then we are chasing carrots. Our material possessions are only temporary, but God is eternal.

Fame isn't just for the Hollywood celebrities. We desire fame by posting a good-looking picture for new Instagram likes or boasting about our expensive vacation. Step away from trying to climb up the ladder, and run to the cross instead.
