“God forbid that I should ever take pride in anything, except in the lynching of our Lord Jesus Christ.” This is how Clarence Jordan paraphrases Gal. 6:14 in The Cotton Patch Gospel. The cross was a shameful and disgusting thing. How shocking it was, and still should be today, to hear Paul say that he "boasts in cross of our Lord Jesus Christ." How should we boast in Jesus' cross?

"So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the houshold of faith." Who are we called to love? But how can we do that?

"Am I my brother's keeper?" What burdens are we called to carry as followers of Christ?

How does salvation begin? How does it end? How can we be called 'sons and daughters of God'?

We say that Harbor is "A church in the city, for the city." What does it mean to be for the city? God's letter to the captives in Babylon, through the prophet Jeremiah, gives a good idea.
