The word "intentional' is a key word used in our church culture at Parkway. In the main text of the message, we will see the central theme of three simples verses. We must look to Jesus, who endured the full weight of suffering, and trust in the Father's compassionate providence.

Sometimes in our services we pause in order to hear the story of each other’s conversion and call to follow Jesus Christ. And here in tonight’s text we pull up a chair to hear from Paul as he shares his. This is certainly not a rare thing for Paul as we see him often recounting and talking about his conversion experience (Acts 22 and 26). In this letter Paul is not sharing his testimony just for inspiration and certainly not to point us to himself. He is using this opportunity to refute the claims of people who wanted to undermine his message and he wants it all to point to the God of the Gospel of Grace.
