Have you seen the new TMNT movie yet? What about the classic cartoons? What about Futurama's new season? Have you considered joining the Church of Scientology?
What do any of these questions have to do with today's episode?
That's the topic - everything has to do with BECK, that musician that everyone seems to love and never seems to understand.
Even better - we brought our friend Dank Tone with us from BURNT TAPES as part of our Simply THE FEST Marathon to help us discuss him.
We're four weeks out from The Fest FL, and we only have a few episodes left to go. This one didn't disappoint.
Join us and our new buddy Dank as we go along with the enigmatic rock star of the past 30 years - BECK!

You requested it.
We requested it.
Other beings of the universe requested it.
But it took Mike Terry of THE JUKEBOX ROMANTICS to bring us to the point of covering the one and only CREED!
Join us for this episode as we surface from the soundstage of the “My Sacrifice” music video and dive right back in the water, because oh dear lord, there’s so much to cover with the band that sold way more albums than we could’ve imagined.
This episode is in continuation of the Simply THE FEST Marathon, as all guest featured until October 28th are bands playing at this year’s THE FEST in Gainesville, FL.
You can check out Jukebox Romantics at the links below!
Also, Mike is looking for a mariachi band before Fest. If anyone knows any mariachi players that are in or close to Gainesville, please send us a message on social media. I’m sure he’d appreciate it.

There's something that can be said about one of the highest selling Canadian artists of the last 23 years still being in her 30's and beloved, seemingly, everywhere.
There's also something that can be said about a wide conspiracy stating she was replaced by another women due to the pressures of fame, thanks to a blog in Brazil.
AVRIL LAVIGNE is the subject of our episode this week, featuring Steve, Dave, and Summers from the band EAT DEFEAT as part of our Simply THE FEST Marathon (all bands featured this season as guest are bands playing at this year's THE FEST in Gainesville, FL in late October).
Eat Defeat hails from England, so naturally, we had to explain the finer things to them as we hail from the USA - American Football, Chick-Fil-A and why it sucks compared to Nando's, Spin magazine not being an accredited source of opinion, and that a New Mexico actually exists.
We had a fantastic time chatting with these guys and we look forward to seeing their set at Fest.
Speaking of which - if you don't have tickets to the SOLD OUT event, they are playing the night before in St. Augustine, which is a show you can still make!
We HIGHLY encourage you to catch their tunes here: https://eatdefeat.bandcamp.com/
Thanks again for hopping on, lads, and check out this episode covering the career of AVRIL LAVIGNE - Only on Parley Radio, where evidence faces the music.
What do you get when you have a lead singer with more beautiful hair than anyone in the world, floating freely on it's own in the wind, practically sentient in it's own right?
You get a gorgon...and COHEED AND CAMBRIA!
Today is our deep dive into one of the most, dare we say it, UNDERRATED bands on the planet, with folklore that runs deeper than most caverns and caves. We're talking mythology, comics book characters, robbing a Walgreens - you name it!
We're joined today by comedian Nathan Hart as part of our Simply THE FEST marathon, where he will be performing stand-up comedy. You can catch links to all of Nathan's social media accounts here: https://comicnathanhart.squarespace.com/
Please join us for an introspective look (we know, big words hard, especially for Devin) into the career of Coheed and Cambria!
What a terrible time for us to publish this episode!
Iron Maiden are an English heavy metal band formed in Leyton, East London, in 1975 by bassist and primary songwriter Steve Harris. Though the band has been through several line-up changes over the years, the current touring member are vocalist Bruce Dickinson, drummer Nick McBrain, and guitarists Dave Murray, Adrian Smith, and Janice Gers. Through the many years, with many awards and sales, Iron Maiden have become one of the most influential and revered bands of all time.
If it's a blue moon, does that mean it's a Green...Day?
Terrible pun, we know, but we couldn't think of anything else.
As a continuation of our Simply THE FEST marathon, we hosted Tennessee Punk band BAD IDOLS this episode as they discussed their favorite band - GREEN DAY!
Let's see what things we find down the rabbit hole of the most successful punk band of all time, check in on Uncle Ted, and find out if John's actually dead (spoiler: he's not, he just has a family).
Tune into this episode, give it a like, share it with friends, and hit the follow button!

How many dick jokes can you fit into one episode?
Come and find out!
This episode, we cover the tumultuous career of one of the most prolific and notorious bands of the 1980's and 1990's, MOTLEY CRUE, with our very special guest, Shaun Osburn of the MIDDLE-AGED QUEERS!
Let's dive into the Brady Bunch of ex-wives, try and narrow down what controlled substances they DIDN'T take, and figure out why they were buying outfits from cheap S&M stores.
As part of our continuation of the Simply THE FEST Marathon, the Middle-Aged Queers are a featured band playing at the festival in late October. All guests until October 28th, 2023 are acts that are playing/have played The Fest. These are bands you should check out BEFORE YOU FINISH READING THIS DESCRIPTION.

Is it enough that we have to cover the most prolific pop artist of the 21st Century?
Apparently not, so join us as we do a deep dive into the one and only TAYLOR SWIFT, alongside mega fan and friend WOODY BOND (JER/Vacancy/Skatune Network) As part of the continuation of the "Simply THE FEST" Marathon, featuring guests performing at this year's THE FEST in late October.
Find out how private jets work, why John's notes are absolutely terrible, and see if the impressions Jay and Devin perform OF John do the man justice in the long run.

Whoa!...We're not even halfway there.
But we are here with another installment of our SIMPLY THE FEST marathon of episodes!
This week, we're joined by ONE FALL members Helen and Phill as we cover the band of their choosing - BON JOVI!
Join us as we discuss Helen's childhood crush, and all of our man crushes...seriously, Jon Bon Jovi is so damned handsome.
We're here to talk the finer points - like why he's a hunky Paramedic, how the band started Skid Row, our John's odd hypothetical questions regarding sentient toilets, and why he wants to take a Segway tour of St. Augustine.
This is our second episode of our Simply the Fest marathon, and we couldn't be more excited to share it with our new friends.
Check out ONE FALL at the link below (seriously, they're really awesome), and we're extremely excited to hang out with them at FEST:
