Unlocking Inner Peace One Step at a Time

PART II: Consistent Habits to Cultivate: Chapter 12: Consequence Receivers Vs. Choice Makers

Listen Later

Part I of this podcast series has covered a basic understanding of our mind, with an emphasis on life’s essential facts. We have now understood how to build self-belief, grow a healthier subconscious mind, develop the courage to face any situation and finally build solid self-confidence and self-esteem.

Part II of this podcast series uses these foundational qualities to cultivate consistent habits. These habits are not difficult to follow but it takes a decent amount of willpower, determination, interest, discipline, and sincerity to develop a new habit. But this is entirely in our control. If you want to add a good habit to your life, you must focus on doing it daily. When you practice a habit regularly, it becomes a part of your everyday routine. The key to victory is maintaining consistency.

By birth, all of us are consequence receivers. Even our very birth was because of a choice executed by our parents, and hence we were born. As long as you remain as a consequence receiver, you are a psychological child. It is only when you grow into a choice-maker that you become a psychological adult. The moment you start producing results, the world around you begins to understand that you are adult enough to execute your own choices. There are two ways to be happy. Change the situation or change your mindset toward it. A time comes in our life when we have to hold our hand out in pride and tell the world that we have painted a new stroke in life.
