Gabe Cheng is a Part-Time Fanboy five-timer! Gabe has been on the podcast several times before chatting about his various comic book projects. He’s a creator who prefers to do one-off comedic sci-fi stories. In books like The Problems With Parallels and Crashlands, Cheng has embraced the spirit of his favorite animated series Futurama. But Gabe didn’t start off in the comics scene with a humorous tale. His first project was a survivalist, post-apocalyptic style book about talking dogs known as For Molly…which is on Kickstarter now funding its trade paperback collected edition. On this episode of Part-Time Fanboy, Kristian chats with Gabe about how the creation of For Molly sprang from a major personal change in his own life, why he finds it so exciting to finally pull his serialized tale into a collected book, and why he’s happy to finally put For Molly to bed and move onto other projects that reflect his current, happier state of mind.
