Josh Eiserike is a writer who doesn’t see himself as an expert on the horror genre. His last two comic book projects, however, have had their roots firmly entrenched in the thriller/horror style of storytelling. In The Very Final Last Girls, Josh explored the idea of what happens to “Final Girls” after their scary movies ended. In his new series, Charm City, his story revolves around a series of murders that occur to members of a secretive magic wielding society within the city of Baltimore. On this episode of the Part-Time Fanboy podcast, Kristian chats with Josh about why he keeps getting drawn into crafting tales of terror, how a bout of depression during the Covid pandemic led him to submit a script to the publisher of Charm City (Scout Comics), and how he made the decision to draw certain segments of the book on his own!
