We’re back! We’ve been gone for about a month or so but April Fools’ Day is here so it’s time to talk about bad movies! All this month, we at the Part-Time Fanboy clubhouse will be talking about our favorite “bad” movies. Movies we love, but that other people may not have such a favorable opinion of. On this first day of tomfoolery we sit down to discuss the very first Marvel Comic theatrical adaptation that laid an egg at the box office: Howard the Duck! Howard the Duck is one of Kristian’s favorite “bad” movies. While making American Graffiti, George Lucas discovered the Howard the Duck comic books and decided that some day he would bring Steve Gerber‘s creation to cinemas. Ten years later…moviegoing audiences would be treated to a big budget spectacle unlike any other! This week on the Part-Time Fanboy podcast Kristian sits down with Joe Slepski (of the Joe on Joe Podcast), David Accampo (writer of Spectral and The Margins), PTF regular Yvis Cannavale, and long-absent friend of the podcast Keith Howell to discuss the comic book adaptation that was trapped in a world it never made!
Part-Time Fanboy. Full-Time obsession on a Part-Time schedule.
