This week’s guest is local legend Ray Wroten. He’s a Baltimore area musician who’s always playing shows around town and releasing music. And he's never shy about sharing what he's been up to. I wanted to get him back on the show because he just released the first episode on his new podcast on Sunday. It is called The 86’d Podcast. It’s about the restaurant industry and it's pretty entertaining. You can find the show on Spotify and Apple Podcasts. As well as the social pages for it Instagram and Facebook. I’ll add the link to the notes. His song “My Door Slams” is also featured on this episode. Feel free to subscribe to the show. Thanks for supporting local music.

Today’s guest is Georgio Broufas of the Massachusetts band Pregame Rituals. I’ve become a fan of their stuff since Georgio’s first time on the show. They have a new song out now called “Persian Nights” which is featured on this episode. I should mention that if you buy their music on Bandcamp the proceeds for most of the songs go to a couple different charities. Their first album “Honest Eyes” goes to the Haven project which supports finding shelter for young adults and the song “Faded Gold” also supports a homeless charity in Massachusetts. Thanks for listening and supporting local music.

This week’s episode features Andrew Janosek. He’s a banjo player playing in a few Maryland area bluegrass groups including Bilgewater, Rock Creek Revival, & Solid Hollow. I met him the other weekend at Harper’s Ferry Brewing. By the sound of it Andrew’s been playing all over the DMV and a little bit out west as well. He’s one of the few folk/bluegrass guests I’ve had on the show thus far. So we talked about that as well as all the the stuff he’s been up to. So whether you are friends or fans of his hopefully you enjoy the interview. Andrew has some shows coming up where you can see him play (listed below). I also featured a live recording of Rock Creek Revival on this episode. As always thanks for listening and thanks for supporting local music.

This week’s guest is Brendan Clarke from the Baltimore area band Old Eastern. They have a new album out called “On The Rocks” and their song “Anna Lee” is featured on this episode. The band self-describes their sound as “Whiskey Rock.” If you like their music you can find them wherever you stream music. Brendan and I had a fun conversation about what the band has been up to over the years and the recording process for the latest album. It also turns out that Old Eastern has their very own signature beer brewed by Mobtown Brewing here in Baltimore City. You can follow Old Eastern on any of the socials to keep tabs on their upcoming dates. Their next show in the city is at Full Tilt Brewing on November 13th. And they also have a big show in December at The Recher with former guest of the show Wills Sims.

This week’s guest is Dave Sloyan from the New Jersey reggae rockers P-Funk North. The band name is a reference to North Plainfield, NJ which is their hometown. They’ve been fortunate enough to share the stage with Rebelution, Badfish, Ballyhoo, Bumpin’ Uglies, Trpodelic, and many more. Dave and I had a fun conversation about what the band has been up to lately. Their next show is November 4th at the Wonder Bar in Asbury Park, NJ with Cloud9 Vibes, Reggae Lou & the Kind Buds and LNJ Sessions. Their song “All My Hero’s Are Potheads” is featured on this episode. Check it out on Spotify or Apple Music if you dig it.

This week's episode features Glen and Shaina from the Baltimore area band Luridinn. I’m playing a show with them this weekend along side Shangrila and Analog. The show is this Saturday at Zen West hosted by Baltimore Sound Management. We’re all looking forward to it. Glenn is Luridinn's drummer and Shaina is the singer. We had a fun conversation about all their songs and their style of music. I featured their song “Lampkin Lane” on this episode. It is a halloween inspired tune which you can find it on Spotify or wherever you listen to music.

Today’s guest is with my longtime friend, drummer, and general creative Luke Justin Roberts, or LJR, as he now goes by for his solo music. This is his 5th time on the show. We tend to catch up once in a while since it seems like he’s always up to one new thing or another. Luke had a particularly gnarly ATV wreck over the summer, so we talked about that and his subsequent recovery from it. As well as his new music video course that he just released called The Music Video Accelerator. Which is now the podcast’s first official sponsor. He’ll also be drumming with my ban at our next show October 23rd at Zen West with The Hollow Truths. So whether you are friends or fans of Luke’s, or you came here from the syndicate, hopefully you enjoy our conversation. Luke’s always an effervescent personality for sure. His new song "Need A Little Lovin" is featured on this episode. Thanks for listening and supporting local music.
