The churches are full of Believers who just do NOT know their Scriptures very well!  And that is sad...because the ONLY WAY to truthfully know WHO God is, and HOW He thinks, and WHAT it takes to be seen as a pleasing Child of God...and WHAT He wants His Church to be doing is found in His written Word!  A lot of Believers will tell you that they do believe that the Bible is the Word of God...and then they live their lives as though those words of God are not that important to learn....not that important to know...and for sure not that important to obey.  Brethren, contrary to what some emotionally driven, sign-seeking Church leaders try teaching you, the ONLY way to truly know the Lord is thru knowing His Scriptures. Everything that the Lord reveals about His characteristics and attributes are found  in the Bible. Everything about how the Lord wants His children to live their earthly lives is found in the Bible.  Everything that the Lord wants His children to DO and NOT to DO is found in the Scriptures. Everything pertaining to HOW a Christian matures in the faith and becomes a steadfast overcomer, is found in the Scriptures!  And yet...most of children of God couldn't quote a 1/2 dozen Bible verses...even if their lives depended on it!
