As we near the end of our study from 1 Corinthians, we come to “the collection for the Lord’s people.” In this text, the church of Jerusalem was experiencing economic hardship. Various churches in the region were asked to collect funds to help. This example in giving will teach us how to become more generous with our funds, so that churches like our can have a positive impact on the cities around us.
