Psalm 22 brings us to the very heart of the gospel, revealing both the sufferings of Christ and the glory that follows. Often called "the psalm of the cross," this passage points us to the forsakenness, reproach, and agony endured by our Savior, and then leads us to His victory, praise, and worldwide reign. The sermon calls us to behold Christ crucified, to rest in His finished work, and to rejoice in the salvation He has accomplished for His people.
