Marks of grace in the believer: (i) faith (ii) love for the brethren (iii) love for the Lord Jesus Christ (iv) a glorious hope.

The mighty Lord is revealed walking on the water. Peter shows great faith in wanting to walk on the waters too, in meeting and greeting his beloved Master. But then Peter looks to himself. Focusing on his own weakness he begins to sink. He cries out for mercy. Christ saves him. Our Lord speaks of his faith as "little faith", but little faith will save us if it attaches to Christ. Peter sinned in doubting. We all sin. The only remedy for sin is the blood of Jesus.

In any situation the Christian finds himself in, true Christianity will provide a way to honour God and to help oneself and others.

After six days the Lord God finished creating heaven and earth and all that they contain. His verdict was that everything was very good.

All the preaching undertaken at Partick Station on Friday 18 October 2024. Acknowledging help from Rev William Macleod, Glasgow.
