Parties clash over audit board`s four-river project conclusion

여야， 감사원 4대강 사업 결론 두고 충돌

A high-ranking audit official said former President Lee Myung-bak is in part responsible for the four-river renovation project being conducted as a preparatory step for his “grand canal” in mind， which allegedly led to budget waste， corruption and price fixing by contractors. “I think that former President Lee Myung-bak has a share of responsibility，” Board of Audit and Inspection Secretary General Kim Young-ho said in response to an opposition lawmaker`s question during a parliamentary audit.

감사원 한 고위 관계자가 화요일， 이명박 전 대통령이 "대운하"를 염두에 둔 준비단계로 진행된 4대강 정비 사업에 일부 책임이 있다고 말했는데， 4대강 사업은 예산낭비와 비리， 건설사들의 가격 담합을 초래한 것으로 알려졌다. 김영호 감사원 사무총장은 국정감사에서 한 야당의원의 질문에 대해 "나는 이명박 전 대통령에게 일정부분 책임이 있다고 본다，"고 말했다.
