At the Tempe Police Department, we place great emphasis on the Three C’s: Community Policing, Community Engagement, and Collaborative Leadership. All Three C’s involve building strong alliances within the community, focusing on trust and legitimacy. We join Sgt. Hector Encinas, Retired DPS Captain Marcia Johnson, and Community Affairs Specialist Lisa Groom to discuss the partnerships the Tempe Police Department has made with the community, with a spotlight on N.O.B.L.E. and A.B.L.E., the Arizona Women’s Initiative Network (AZWIN), and the Tempe Black Employee Alliance.
