Party XP

On this week's episode, Jeff shows Lakan the upcoming indie rhythm game Scratchin' Melodii, a fun throwback to Parappa the Rapper and Um Jammer Lammy. The pair review the game's short demo and yet again discuss their love for music and rhythm games. Maybe one day, they'll play something that doesn't involve music.

Whoa! 2 weeks in a row?! In this special spoopy season episode, Jeff introduces Lakan to the Walten Files. Lakan learns about analog horror and they follow along in some fantastic youtube/internet/analog media about some evil animatronic machines. The duo discuss their experience with horror media, how they go about falling down rabbit holes online, appreciate some storytelling techniques, and figure out how being spooked can be fun. So get in the evil animatronic robot, listener! Join us as we uncover the uneasy secrets of Bon's Burgers in The Walten Files

Lakan gets Jeff into saving lives by smashing his spacebar in the one button music game, Rhythm Doctor. The duo discuss how rhythm games moved from arcades into the homes of players, and how that affected the community of rhythm gamers. How will Jeff do with remote musical doctoring? Is there a "Through the Fire and Flames" mod like all games should have?

The pair also talk about card game mechanics and their experience with other games, like Magic: The Gathering and the Pokemon TCG.

Lakan makes Jeff play another roguelike, offering up Spelunky. Will Jeff have a similar experience to the myriad of other roguelikes he's had to endure over the past few months? Or will he enjoy it like so many others in the gaming world?

In this episode of Party XP, Jeff re-introduces Lakan to the world of professional wrestling. Will Lakan embrace the "carny BS" as Jeff very eloquently puts it? Or will he stick with his Vtubers and waifus?
