Ash moved to the U.S. at 18 and started working at a carnicería, where he picked up four languages just by immersing himself in the job. From there, he hustled his way through roles at Frito-Lay and Wells Fargo before making a bold leap into the fast-casual restaurant world — with zero experience.

Today, Ash owns multiple successful franchises, including El Pollo Loco in Templeton/Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo, and Sonic Drive-In in Atascadero. His story is proof that mindset beats experience. We talked about how he always becomes the best at whatever he takes on — not by luck, but by relentless drive.

Even more inspiring is his generosity: Ash donates massive amounts of food to schools and nonprofits. It might look like he’s losing money, but he’s confident that giving back is always a net positive.
