Pass it by

Listen Later

Pass it by

Teardrops hit my face, waves of heartbreaks cascade onto my

fingers

Memories can’t replace, could’ve beens echoing, the pain

still lingers

Empty days planned, nothing seems important without your

touch

A longing I can’t stand, blast the tunes to drown out my

heart but it’s too much

Why look for a second four leaf clover? Or find both ends of

a rainbow?

When will your search be over? When will you let your loving

flow?

Holding out for a sign, something in red letters in the sky

One day happiness will be mine, unless I’m dumb enough to

pass it by

Yesterday’s done and gone, scraped knees and tear-soaked

pillows

Stop singing that sad old song, step outside take a lesson

from the willows

Bend with the breeze, but no matter how strong it blows don’t

break

Life’ll bring you to your knees, your results lie in the

choice you make

Why look for a second four leaf clover? Or find both ends of

a rainbow?

When will your search be over? When will you let your loving

flow?

Holding out for a sign, something in red letters in the sky

One day happiness will be mine, unless I’m dumb enough to

pass it by

Babe don’t you pass it by, don’t let it get away from you

It’s right there in front of your eye, babe you know what to

do

Babe don’t you pass it by, we won’t get another chance

We can make it if we try, fire up the magic in our romance

But babe don’t you pass it by
