2 Timothy 1:5 I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in

your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives

in you also. 6 For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God,

which is in you through the laying on of my hands.

Have you ever thought about how the word of God made it until

someone penned it down? The Jewish culture took great pains to memorize their

lineage and preserve the word of God. The power of the word of God, however, is

not in how big your bible is, but how much of that knowledge has penetrated

your mind and heart and how you react to it.

Timothy’s journey of faith

began as his Grandma passed her faith on to her Mom, and as both women passed

God’s word and their stories of faith on to him. He became a pastor and

influenced many lives for Christ.

How will your children know

the word and the deeds of God through history and through your life? The answer

is that we must pass-it-on. This message will remind many of you of your early

days of hearing about Jesus and the people who shared that love of God with

you.
