2 Timothy 1:3-5 - Some people have defined Education as a process by which a particular society transmit the worthwhile aspect of its culture to other generations. Any society that fails in transmitting its culture from one generation to another is bound to fail and probably go into extinction.

This process of transmitting or passing on from one generation to another is similar to what goes on in a relay race where an athlete is expected to pass on the baton to the next athlete until the last athlete reaches the finishing line.
