One of the reasons we fall into false teaching is because we start to assume we know the gospel in it's entirety. When one generation assumes the gospel, the next generation asserts that they've never heard of it.

Ambition outside of authority leads to apostasy... Last week, we learned the importance of being under authority in a discipleship relationship. This week we learn of the importance of submitting to doctrine.

Ambition is a worthy trait to be praised and aimed for... However, as we learn today, ambition outside of submission leads to all sorts of agony.

Most of us don't try God's plans for our lives because we don't trust God's provision in our lives.

At the end of chapter 1, we see Paul dealing with hurt in discipleship relationships. Thankfully, Paul doesn't use this as an opportunity to become bitter. In this message, we find out how Paul is able to move beyond the hurt without ignoring it.
