His sacrifice continued on through the same night and into the daytime. An important point in preparing for Passover is that we need to examine ourselves. We need to discern both the physical body of Jesus Christ, as He suffered and died for us, but also the spiritual body of Christ, the brethren, and how we treat each other. It is also an encouraging memorial of His victory over sin and death for us.

As Ezekiel prophesies to the house of Israel, God reveals to him the utter corruption and sin of the elders of the land, all done behind closed doors.  The message is prophetic to us as we see corruption in the lands we live, but also a warning to God's Church that we are doing things His way, with no hidden agendas.  Christ said in Luke 8:17, "There is nothing hidden that won't be revealed."
